The Cliff Bar & Grill

The Cliff Bar & Grill is situated on the south-east coast of Koh Samui between Chaweng Noi and Lamai, just a few minutes from the sandy beach at Silver Beach.

The restaurant is perfectly situated to allow easy access from both Chaweng and Lamai, and is well marked from both directions.

The Cliff takes influences from Mediterranean cuising from Portugal, Spain and Italy finding the right combination of ingredients, oils and recipes to create something that would make it truly memorable and unparalleled on Koh Samui.

The restaurant opened to the public on April 15th, 2004 and quickly became one of the best venues in Samui. Since opening they have demonstrated a steady growth and have improved The Cliff service to a great standard.

All the vegetables that they use are organically grown, including the herbs that are hand picked from their private herb garden each day. The seafood they serve is caught and delivered to The Cliff by local fishermen who then produce the food.

Australia produces some of the finest beef in the world. To select their meats they tried some of the finest Australian beef available including Kings Island beef which is aged for 21 days is always fresh, cold and delivered fresh every week.

One of the most important aspects of The Cliff Bar & Grill is the excellent kitchen team headed by Chef Sergio Martelli.

Sergio Martelli is a native of Italy and has worked in some of the best restaurants around the world. His team at The Cliff is fully trained and qualified to prepare some of the best food. He has also worked at some of the top restaurants in the world. He now graces us with his magic. The pasta dishes are traditional Italian, but with a touch of sophistication.

Since opening its doors 16 years ago, The Cliff Bar & Grill has enjoyed steady success. Gradually buililding up a reputation by continually improving food, service and even the venue.

Owner, Bradley R. Keeping in mind customers expectations in mind, and have constantly strived to improve food and service. Bradley R. Munns and Lionel Helena conceived of opening a Mediterranean inspired fine dining restaurant on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand.

It was their dream to take their culinary journey to Europe, Portugal, Spain and Italy, and to find the perfect herbs, spices, oils and recipes to create truly unforgettable, satiating flavors.

We can’t forget the incredible view of the crystal clear waters of Silver Bay, right from the restaurant terrace.

The Cliff sits atop gigantic granite boulders that sprawl across the beautiful water of Crystal Bay. Their popular terrace tables overlook the beautiful Silver Beach. When you look out over the crystal clear water of Silver Bay, you will not be able to feel anything but pure peace and tranquility. Combine this with some delicious and fresh seafood and a refreshing drink of your choice, and you have the recipe for pure indulgence!

Because there are only two dining areas that are separated only by two columns, everyone can enjoy a splendid view. With cool, terrazzo-like floors and a relaxing, cool, ocean breeze passing through the restaurant, you will feel extremely comfortable and relaxed.

For those who wish to escape the tropical heat, there is comfortable bar and lounge area complete with sofas, bar chairs and dining tables. There is also a luxurious bar area that, when lit up in the evenings, is a perfect place to sit and enjoy some drinks after you have had a lovely meal.

Chef Sergio Martelli, a legendary Italian-born chef, has been masterminded the menu since the beginning. Chef Sergio brings his vast knowledge of local ingredients and spices to the table. Chef Kwang is an extremely talented Thai chef and baker, who can make spectacular presentations of both traditional and innovative dishes. His creative cooking will have you eating photos of fantastic Thai food.
